Pictures before restoration. The triple continuous keyline border around the mosaic is seen on examples labelled for the maker Childs & Son of Brighton, working from their 51 Kings Road location - a premises which was occupied, and producing labelled pieces, from 1844 to 1873. This identification is in no way conclusive, but persuasive nonetheless in the absence of pieces featuring the same pattern which are labelled for other sources.
